Inspect the trousers before washing
Empty every pocket and check for an open hem or damaged fastening. Note visible marks so you can find the same areas after washing. A photograph helps when several similar pairs belong to the household. Remove the belt and other detachable items before putting the jeans with the laundry.
Levi's denim guidance includes turning jeans inside out and closing zips. These steps may suit your pair, but its specific care instructions remain the reference. Do not transfer a temperature or fixed washing interval to every pair without checking.
Choose the settings deliberately
Compare the label with the programmes actually available on your machine. A similar programme name does not confirm the same temperature or movement. Consult the appliance manual if unclear. Choose detergent and dosage from their instructions and the actual load rather than mixing several products as a precaution.
Plan the rest of the load so it can tolerate the same care conditions. If you are unsure whether a new dark pair may transfer colour, check the manufacturer's guidance. A pale delicate top is not a sensible test item. The first wash should be an informed decision rather than an experiment involving an entire favourite outfit.
Arrange the drying place beforehand
Check the tumble-drying symbol before putting washed jeans in the machine. Levi's lists air drying as its preferred option in general denim guidance. The method for your pair must still match its individual label. Prepare the place before washing so the wet trousers are not left in an untidy heap.
Arrange the legs and waistband without forceful pulling. Use the permitted drying method and check thicker areas such as the waistband and pockets afterwards. Put the trousers away only when fully dry. If the fit changes after care, compare the settings used with the label and record them. This supports a specific question to the manufacturer instead of changing several conditions at once during the next wash.
